CAMERA CABLES
CAMERA CABLES
Camera cables are used to connect surveillance cameras to recording systems or monitors, transmitting video signals and, in many cases, power as well. The type of cable depends on the camera system (analog or IP), installation distance, and environmental conditions.

The most common types include:
- Coaxial Cables (BNC) for analog CCTV systems
- Siamese Cables combining video and power wires in one jacket
- Ethernet Cables (Cat5e/Cat6) for IP cameras using PoE
- RG-6 Cables for long-distance, high-resolution analog video
Technical Features
- Coaxial (BNC) : Uses BNC connectors for quick plug-and-play; ideal for analog cameras; good resistance to interference.
- Siamese (Coax + Power) : Combines video and power in one cable; simplifies installation; commonly used in CCTV systems.
- RG-6 : Thicker and better insulated than RG-59; supports HD analog signals over longer distances.
- Ethernet (Cat5e/Cat6) : Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) carries both power and video for IP cameras; great for modern infrastructure.
